Yonique’s song “Child’s Cry,” had a cameraman, the producer, members of the audience and even the judge, Keisha, crying. The song - inspired by “Silence of the Lambs” a CVM TV documentary on violence against children - pulled at the heartstrings of every individual in studio. Thunderous applause and cheers could be heard at the end of Yonique’s emotional performance. When it was time for the judges’ comments Keisha was too overwhelmed to go first. Guest judge, Jason Mighty, said Yonique is an “excellent writer” and “the world will not be able to contain where she will go.” Yonique beamed when he disclosed that he was looking for a writer and would be grateful if she could write some songs for him. Darren started a rain of tears for Yonique when he said that life would be unfair if she did not win because she was the best in the competition, and none of the other competitors could “walk in her seventeen-year-old shoes.” Keisha was still rendered speechless through her own flood of tears and had to join Yonique on stage in an emotional embrace before she could continue. Most would agree that it was truly a blessed experience. As Yonique continues to move and inspire people with her message, souls will undoubtedly come to the knowledge of the truth in Christ Jesus. After all, isn’t that the purpose of it all? Good going Yonique! To vote for Yonique Buchanan call 876-444-4280 follow the instructions and vote 8 or text the number 8 to 876-444-4280 anytime.
